Wall Mirror

This wall mirror reflects the style of my furniture designs a art and craft, offering both and functional value.

All material used is local Sheoak(Allocasuarina fraseriana) selected for its excellent steam bending qualities and Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata), but even this timber needs experimentation.

To made 5 ribs, it took me 30 experiments and a pair of strong hands to bend the wood. The frame of the mirror is made out of Jarrah . Welding wire covers the joints of the ribs, and compliments the shine of chromed pipe. This wall mirror needs to hang in a large room or hall, as its complexity means all view and angles are interesting.
