Oblique Seat Print E-mail

'Oblique Seat' is a free-flowing and interwoven, self-supporting seat for one. The basis behind the design was to move away from the standard idea of what represents a seat to the concept of a more fluid design.

Whilst the chair is not symmetrical, it is balanced via a vertical centre line which runs through the body of the seated person.

The back rest is triangular in shape and attached via stainless steel rods, which run through the main spine of the chair and the horizontal seat support, to become connected at floor level by a flat steel bar.

All timber is clear estapoled to seal, followed by an application of teak wax to give the timber a low lustre, whilst maintaining the timber's natural look and qualities.
