Over 500 invited guests rocked up to the Cooroy Butter Factory at friday 17 september 2004 for the opening of the 8th Contemporary Furniture Exhibition. It was a great turnout, and guests were delighted with beautiful pieces of furniture on exhibit and for sale. |

The judges surprise decision not to award a prize for 'Avant Garde' but instead decided to award an extra winner in the 'Design Excellence Award' proves that the standard of furniture is of such high calibre to make the judging process quite a difficult one. Prize money for each of the categories is $1,000. |
